Caterpillar’s giant Jenga goes viral

One of the best B2B ads I’ve seen this year. All the products atributes are there and quite visible during the video. Now, to do this stunt, Ogilvy & Mather New York pull up a very entertaining and spectacular video where Cat heavy machines play the precision game Jenga.

There’s no reason why B2B videos can’t be fun. In Catterpillar’s case, fun is the special sauce to the viral success of the video.

Mercedes-Benz: ‘The Catch: World Record Attempt’

Content is the most precious things. Just watch this amazing video form Mercedes-Benz starring David Coulthard, former Formula 1 racing driver, and Jake Shepherd, pro-golfer.

They have set a new Guinness World Record. Driving the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, David Coulthard caught a golf ball, hit by Jake Shepherd, while driving the car. The ball was travelling at 178mph and was caught 275 metres from the tee, setting the record for the ‘furthest golf shot caught in a moving car,

For now the number of views hit almost 2 million views as I write this post.

Video: “Fail like a boss - EPIC”

One Portuguese video on YouTube that It’s going viral. With more than one million views in a country with just 10 million inhabitants it pretty amazing.

I can’t stop laughing every single time I see this guy on a skateboard almost getting run over by a car and ends in the reed.

The guy, Helio Imaginario, has a Facebook fan page already with 28 thousand fans. He’s getting famous. An interesting case of self promotion, but he paid the price with his body :)

Now I’m gone watch the video again ;)

A pretty clever strategy from 20th Century Fox. The studios produced and released some videos on the web that fulfilled their purpose, to go viral. This one above, belongs to that series of viral videos released to promote the forthcoming Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie.

It’s one of the most successful viral strategies I’ve seen so far.
